Are you passionate about automotive electronics and want to further your career in this field? ADS is currently looking for a new candidate to join its engineering team in Montreal, Canada. Reporting to the Manager of the Engineering Department’s Technical Team, the selected candidate will collaborate with other teams within the department in the development of new hardware and software solutions for vehicles.

We will provide the support and training necessary to make you an integral part of the team!
Responsibilities
- Analyze, document and reverse engineer new systems found in vehicles.
- Verify through feasibility demonstrations software solutions to ensure optimal operation in a target environment, typically in a vehicle.
- Assemble the necessary components to create a functional system on a test bench to replicate the operation of systems found in vehicles.
- Collect vehicle data
- Test and analyze systems in vehicles using test equipment.
- Understand the systems architecture and operation by reading diagrams and vehicle documentation.
Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
- Can work independently, under set guidelines.
- Have a valid driver’s license.
- Have experience installing remote starters, automotive security systems or other electronic systems.
Assets
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and Word.
- Bilingualism (French/English) is a plus
- Have a valid passport and be fit to travel

The Job: Software Developer, Front-end
In that role, you’ll have a critical impact on the development of our web sites and applications. You’ll write clean maintainable code and tests, introduce new best practices and architectures, develop interactive front-end web applications and integrate sophisticated designs. Quality, usability, reliability and experimentation are important to us, and will be the guiding principles behind your work.
Who are we looking for?
If you are passionate about user experience, love complex problems, microservices, and delivering elegant and reusable code, this may be the perfect opportunity for you! We are looking for an individual that is resourceful and self-driven, that loves learning and sharing their findings. The perfect candidate would have:
- 3 years of experience in web development
- Built web applications in React, AngularJS (or another frond-end framework) and published them online
- A diploma in software engineering or computer science (or any equivalent combination of experience and education)
- Proficiency in both English and French
- Expertise in HTML5 and CSS3
- Experience with Bootstrap and Sass or another CSS pre-processor
- Experience implementing responsive web applications
- Extended knowledge of Javascript
- Experience in Agile environment and with git
- Familiarity with automated tests and continuous integration

The Job: Software Developer, Back-end
In that role, you’ll have a critical impact on the development of our web applications and services. You’ll write clean maintainable code and tests, introduce new best practices and architectures, develop RESTful APIs and collaborate with our electronics developers on products integration. You’ll own your service through its lifecycle, building and releasing it. Quality, usability, reliability and experimentation are important to us, and will be the guiding principles behind your work.
Who are we looking for?
If you are passionate about API development, love complex problems, microservices, and delivering elegant and reusable code, this may be the perfect opportunity for you! We are looking for an individual that is resourceful and self-driven, that loves learning and sharing their findings.

- Built web applications in PHP, Python, Node JS or Golang and published them online
- A diploma in software engineering or computer science (or any equivalent combination of experience and education)
- Proficiency in both English and French
- Experience in Agile environment and with git
- Experience with relational databases such as MySQL
- Experience using NoSQL databases or using message queue brokers is an asset
- Experience developing HTML, CSS and client-side javascript is an asset
- Familiarity with automated tests, continuous integration, third-party libraries and dependencies (composer packages, npm modules, etc)

Job Description
ADS is seeking new candidates to join our award-winning Technical Support team. Reporting directly to the Technical Support Director, the chosen candidate will provide product and installation support to customers and make use of company tools to assist in the upkeep and development of various products and solutions.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to installers and our corporate partners via telephone, e-mail, social media and our online forums
- Document all customer interactions using the company’s helpdesk ticket system
- Participate in departmental meetings and conference calls
- Collect information from shop manuals, customers, or hands-on vehicle research and update our vehicle information database
- Report install guide and/or product issues using our ticket system
- Proofread installation guides prior to publishing
Qualifications
- Installation experience with vehicle remote starters and security systems (3 years minimum)
- Working knowledge of ADS products a plus
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Good verbal and writing communication skills
- Customer driven
- Valid driver’s license
- Good knowledge of MS office suite programs
- Keep up-to-date on new vehicle technologies
- MECP certification would be considered an asset
- Bilingual (English/French)
